Design Philosophy
UI and UX are two sides of a scale. Leaning further into usability can constrain the UI, while leaning further into expressive UI can introduce usability and accessibility risk, so I choose the right trade off based on the user’s needs and what the market expects, and I treat good UI and interactions as a real way to improve UX.
The UX process should be adaptive, not a fixed sequence. I skip, compress, or reorder methods when needed to reach the best solution faster without losing rigor.
You cannot design for everyone at once. I prioritise the users that matter most, design overlaps where possible, and iterate until every interaction earns its place.
